Summary
Sugar Rush is about a young boy with cancer named Jack Song. Jack is about to go into life altering surgery. Either the tumors are found to be benign and Jack can go home, or his tumors are cancerous and he will need to endure much stronger treatments. The impact of furthering treatments on Jack's body will test the boundaries of how far the body of a 10 year old boy can go. Jack's biggest issue? Well, Jack ran out of lollipops and he has only an hour before his surgery.

Jack sets out to find his best friend Sofia who lives just down the hall. Jack, eager to get his hands on the precious candy, tells Sofia of a place that has a treasure trove of lollipops...the nurses lounge! Although reluctant at first, Sofia is convinced with a bribe. She can have all the grape flavored lollipops as long as she helps with the heist. Sofia can't turn down the offer...
Jack and Sofia set out through the bustling oncology floor on their way to the nurses lounge, but behold! The door is locked and the only way to get in is with an employee badge. With a devious smile, Jack knows exactly where to go. Jack and Sofia manage to swipe an employee badge from a snoozing office clerk. But they only have minutes to spare.
As they sneak through the lounge on the way to the lollipop jar, a nurse stops them dead in their tracks. With no where to go and the time closing in. They attempt to get out. Without an escape route, their is hope of a sugar rush is dwindling. But when the nurse is beckoned for help and leaves the room, the coast is cleared. Jack and Sofia sherpa their way up the wall. Sofia's hand wraps around the jar when...
A crowd of nurses flood into the lounge. Jack and Sofia crumble to the ground. They run through the nurses and out towards their rooms. But all that work was for nothing and they are without any lollipops. Jack is taken by his mother to the surgery room without any candy.
As Jack waits for the doctor, his nerves get the best of him. He runs from the surgery room. As he sprints down the hall he is met with Sofia standing between him and the exit. Behold, she has a grape flavored lollipop in her hand. With a smile and a hug Sofia gives Jack the lollipop.
Armed with a lollipop and a team of people that care for him. Jack goes into the surgery room with his head held high and a lollipop between his lips.

​I've put together a board of pictures that will match the style and direction of Sugar Rush. Movie comparisons would be Home Alone and Five Feet Apart. It's an uplifting and fun story with a dramatic theme.
